Alliance 2020’s Tax Return Verification (TRV) service allows individuals and third-parties to receive a transcript of key tax forms submitted to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). These are not photocopies of the forms.

Income Return Verifications and 4506-T form processing

The available transcripts include:

  • Transcript of an individual tax return (IRS Form 1040) (click here to view sample). This document is not a copy of the 1040, it is a line-summary of key information from the 1040 that the taxpayer submitted to the IRS.
  • Transcript of a business tax return (IRS Form 1120 or IRS Form 1065). This document is not a copy of the 1040, it is a line-summary of key information from the forms that the taxpayer submitted to the IRS.
  • Transcript of IRS Form W-2, and/or IRS Form 1099 for a tax payer (click here to view a sample). These documents are not a copy of the 1040,they are a line-summary of key information employers submitted to the IRS.

Who Needs this Service?

Although there are many reasons to order a TRV, two typical scenarios are applicable in the mortgage loan process.

  1. Lenders, banks and mortgage brokers may require third-party verified information from a borrowers past income-tax form in order to establish income. Since the TRV comes directly from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the information is difficult to fabricate and meets the requirements of virtually all lenders.
  2. Borrowers may have lost or misplaced their tax returns. The TRV service provides a quick and easy way for brokers and loan originators to gather this information.

Getting Set Up to Order a TRV

Getting set up to order a TRV is an easy, three-step process.

  1. Call, email or fax Alliance 2020 indicating your desire to establish a TRV account.Be sure to include your name, the name of the company you work for, a contact phone number and your email address.
  2. Wait for a confirmation email from Alliance 2020.The email will include instructions on how to activate your account.
  3. Click on the link in the confirmation email and provide the information requested

Once your account is set up by Alliance 2020, a TRV can be ordered directly from any browser-equipped computer. The transcript is returned to you by email, typically within 24 hours.You will be invoiced for the services you use at the end of the month.
