The 2026 Insights Conference is coming up on Friday, November 6, at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. This year’s conference features speakers covering leadership, workplace communication, and employment law, with four SHRM and HRCI credits available for attendees.
What’s on the Agenda?
Dr. De Hicks, founder and president of the RMC Group of Companies, will present Built for the Storm (calm waters are rare). Drawing on his research into leadership and behavior, Hicks will explore how habits shape our responses to stress and how small changes can make a difference in our daily lives and work.
Jessi Beyer, a licensed mental health professional and former SWAT negotiator, will present When Conversations Escalate: Tactical Communication for HR. Her session will focus on navigating difficult conversations with employees, including techniques for building rapport, reducing tension, and communicating effectively when emotions run high.
The conference will also feature a Washington State legal update from Catharine Morisset, a litigation partner in Fisher Phillips LLP’s Seattle office. With experience advising employers on background checks, hiring practices, and workplace law, Morisset will bring a legal perspective to the issues facing Washington employers.
